Lefima history

Ernst Leberecht Fischer first began manufacturing drums and tambourines in 1861, receiving awards at exhibitions in Berlin, Dresden and at the World Fair in Paris.

With the present factory located in the picturesque town of Cham in southern Germany, Lefima continue to produce a wide range of drums, mallet instruments, marching instruments, orchestral percussion, accessories and instruments for orchestras, bands, schools, kindergartens and music therapy programs. Especially renowned for their historic line of antique instruments, Lefima Aehnelt timpani continue to be coveted by the world's greatest symphonic ensembles.
